9-day Excursion in Moroccan desert departs from Marrakech

Excursion in the Moroccan desert and the Moroccan mountains, departure from Marrakech in 4x4 for a adventure in the southern Moroccan desert.

Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate

The circuit begins in the morning in Marrakech (meeting in front of your Hotel/Riad) towards Ouarzazate by the beautiful road which crosses the High Atlas by the Col de Tizi-N'Tichka (2620 m altitude). We will pass by the Kasbah of Lglawi, the Kasbah Telouet, and the fabulous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). This is where we will have lunch. Arrival in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Night at the hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate - Todra Gorge
We will discover the valley of roses by circulating through the Oasis of Skoura and its beautiful Kasbahs. Short walk to Boutaghrar on the banks of the Mgoun river, a small Berber village in the Atlas mountains. We continue the adventure towards the Todra gorges. Overnight in Tinghir

Day 3: The Todra Gorges – Agdz
We take the road to the Draa Valley by Djabel Saghro, Ikniounen, Nkoub. Dinner on the road. Possibility to visit the Kasbah of Tamnougalte. Arrive in Agdez in the afternoon. Night on site.

Day 4: Agdz - M'hamid
After breakfast, we take the 4x4 to follow the Draa Valley, the river, the longest river in Morocco, 1100 km towards Zagora. We continue to Mhamid El Ghizlane the gateway to the desert of Morocco. Overnight in the camp at M'hamid.

Day 5: M'mahid - Erg Chegaga
In the morning, after a two-hour camel ride, we will join the track to take the 4x4 back to the largest dunes in Morocco, Erg Chegaga. We will discover the three types of the Sahara of Morocco: Erg, Reg and Hamada. We will pass by the Sacred Oasis where we will take the lunch break. In the afternoon, we will climb the highest dunes to enjoy the sunset. Starry night at the bivouac.

Day 6: Erg Chegaga - Erg Chegaga

Enjoy a relaxing day to discover the sandy stretches of the Moroccan sea.

Day 7: Erg Chegaga – Tata

The adventure in the Moroccan desert continues by the dry lake of Iriqi along the mountains of Bani. We will pass through Foum Zguid to arrive at Tissint. Lunch break on site. In the afternoon, we will take the road back to Tata. Night on site

Day 8: Tata - Tioute Oasis

After breakfast, we will take the road to the Oasis of Tioute by the beautiful road of Igherm. Arrival in Tioute early afternoon. Dinner on site. In the afternoon, walk to discover the oasis and in the evening possibility of preparing supper with the inhabitants. Overnight with locals.

Day 9: Oasis of Tioute – Agadir
It's already the last day with us. That day, we will take the direction of the coast to Agadir. Dinner in Taghazoute. Arrival at your hotel in the afternoon.
