Day 1: Agadir – Ouarzazate via Ait Ben Haddou
The Moroccan desert excursion begins in Agadir, heading towards Ouarzazate. We stop at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site and enjoy the panoramic view from the kasbah hill. After visiting Ait Ben Haddou, we continue our excursion towards Ouarzazate. On the way, we visit the Atlas film studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay at a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Todra Gorges via the Dadès Valley
We resume our journey and head towards the Todra Gorges. We pass through the Skoura Oasis, the oasis of a thousand and one kasbahs, and visit the famous Amridil Kasbah where the movie "Hanna" was filmed. Then, we continue our excursion towards the Valley of Roses and Boutaghrar, where we take a trail for 40 minutes to 1 hour, passing by the Berber nomads of the Atlas. We arrive at the Dadès Valley to enjoy a delicious Berber meal after admiring the stunning route through the Dadès Valley. A +/- 40-minute hike in the valley. We reach the Todra Gorges for a short hike along the impressive canyon. Overnight stay at a hotel or Riad.
Day 3: Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
Departure from the Todra Gorges towards the Merzouga Desert. We take a camel trek in the Moroccan desert to enjoy a magnificent sunset and reach the bivouac in the Merzouga Desert in the middle of the Moroccan Sahara to experience Berber hospitality under the stars. Musical evening at the bivouac and overnight in tents.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Agdz
We leave the Merzouga Desert to continue the excursion towards Agdz. We cross various desert landscapes, passing through small Berber towns and villages. Lunch on the way. We arrive in Agdz, the gateway to the Drâa Valley, the longest river in Morocco (1100 km), with one part inhabited with magnificent oases and another desert part. Overnight stay in Agdz.
Day 5: Agdz – Agadir via Taznakht
Our Moroccan desert excursion comes to an end. We head back to Agadir, passing through Taznakht, the capital of traditional Berber carpets in Morocco. We take a saffron tea break in Taliouine. We arrive in Agadir at the end of the day.
