5 days in the Moroccan desert to visit the oasis of Tiout, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, M'hamid the gateway to the southern Moroccan desert and the great dune of Erg Chegaga.
We will meet in the morning in Agadir to depart towards Taroudant to visit the medina and its traditional souks, then take the road towards the Berber oasis of Tiout for a walk. Overnight stay with locals.
After breakfast, we will hit the road towards the fabulous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, passing through the Moroccan capital of carpet. We will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou by the end of the day for an overnight stay.
Departing in the morning towards the M'hamid El Ghizlane desert gate via the Tizi-n-Tinififft pass, 1660m above sea level, then through the Drâa Valley, the longest river in Morocco, with its breathtaking panorama. Lunch break in Zagora, with the possibility of visiting a cooperative manufacturing silver jewelry, the Quranic madrassa, and the production of pottery in Tamegroute. We will arrive in M'hamid by the end of the day for an overnight stay.
We will start the day with a 1.5 to 2-hour camel ride before taking a 4x4 track to the largest dunes in Morocco, Erg Chegaga. We will enjoy the magnificent sunset over the dunes. Overnight stay at the bivouac.
After breakfast, the adventure continues in the Moroccan desert, crossing the dry lake of Iriki and the oasis of Laajiaimia to reach the tar road at Foum Zguid. Lunch break on the road. We will arrive in Agadir by the end of the day.
